On May 10, 2008, the Germany and China Friendship Soccer Game held in CNU.

Six teams participated this game. Except the German team, the other five teams were from Chongqing Normal University, Chongqing University, Chongqing Technology and Business University, Sichuan International Study University and Chongqing Institute of Technology.

Director of DAAD and Mr. Zhao Weiliang, the assistant director of Chongqing Education Commission kicked off the game.

After a whole day of heated struggle, the team of Chongqing Normal University obtained the first place, the team of Chongqing University obtained the second place and the team of Yanntze River Normal University obtained the third place.

When all the games were over, President Zhou Zeyang awarded the medals and the cup to the team of Yanntze River Normal University, Mr. Zhao Weiliang awarded the medals and the cup to the team of Chongqing University, and the special envoy of Germany Ministry of Foreign Affaires awarded the medals and the cup to the team of Chongqing Normal University.
