School of Economics & Management

This school is established in 2006, by selecting excellent teachers who are outstanding in economy and management, in order to better be in pace with the development of economy for society.

¡°Management sets up image, practice promotes development¡± is its aim. It persist that subject construction is in the first place; major construction is basic; teaching and research are in the center. Its mission is to spread knowledge of economic management, develop talented people for business and promote development for regional economies.

In this school, there are 76 teaching staff, including 8 professors, 21 associate professors, 23 doctors, 33 graduates. Meanwhile, there are 10 tutors of master students and 1 tutor of a Ph.D. student; 1 special government allowance awarded by State Council; 2 teachers honored as model teachers and excellent model teachers in China.

At present, there are five majors for undergraduates ¡ª economics, business administration, marketing, management information system, Human Resources Management; four full-timed majors for graduates--regional economics, Political Economy, management science and project, quantitative economics; two majors for graduates in incumbency-- financial management, human resources development and management. At the same time, there are 1216 full-timed undergraduates and 62 full-timed graduates; 31 graduates in incumbency. 

Regional economics and management science are key subjects in university; ¡°Finace¡± and ¡°Political economy¡± are best courses among all the best course in university; and research institutions like regional economics research center. 

2004-2007, teachers of this school totally obtained 3 items for national society and science foundation, more than 10 items on provincial level and prefecture-level, more than 20 items for university; compose over 10 monographs and textbooks; published over 300 academic dissertations. 

Also, it has established many stable bases for practicing with many enterprises. Therefore, students¡¯ extracurricular work is very rich and varied, for instance, they participated simulated business negotiation and own-business design competition, and achieved good results.
