College of History and Museology is one of the liberal art departments, which established earliest in the University. It has a long history of running a school. Promptly when the University was founded, there is a history class. Under the background of restructuring of college of the school, this college has been established in 2004. After many years efforts the college have already formed certain scale of the student and have obtained better achievement of running a school. There are 27 teaching and administrative staff now in the college, including 5 professors, 9 associate professors. On academic credentials distribute, most are masters, and 6 doctor or doctorial candidates. Those who have formed a teaching team with Clergy's age and academic hierarchical structure are rational. Under the college there are 4 teaching research rooms, a museum, 3 research institutions. Have launched the extensive scientific research in such respects as world history, China's modern and contemporary history , Chinese and foreign ideologies and cultures , regional science of culture , museology ,etc.,and have obtained the comparatively rich scientific findings .There is also a history museum with abundant displays, and a collect of thousands of historical relics as well as a reference room, which has more than 20,000 volumes of collected books. In student's cultivation, the institute has already formed three levels of master's research, foreign student and undergraduate. The institute now has " special history “, " archaeology and museology " , " world history " three master stations and " historical teaching method " master's directions now. It also offers history and museology, two bachelor degrees speciality . In teaching, they pay attention to students' development in an all-round way .On the basis of finishing teaching plan, have also offered several dozen elective courses that involves such fields as special history , philosophy , literature , sociology and art history ,etc.,to improving student's overall qualities. Curerently the institute undertakes the National Social Science Funds Project as well as numerous key social science projects at the city level and the Ministry of Education, and has obtained many social science award of Ministry of Education and city level . On the construction aspect of course, the institute has offered one grade of key projects such as " historical selected works " , " China's ancient history " and " history of the world " ,etc. It has already formed a quite comparative course system. , On the respect of student's work, they stress on speciality and total improvement of quality, offering student's corporation such as" history learn " , " friend society as well as having launched various kinds of academy and social activities and has produced the good social influence .
